Batman star Christian Bale has made a personal visit to see seven victims of the Aurora movie theatre shooting to express his condolences to them and their families.

The Oscar winning star of the 'Dark Knight Rises' made the visit to the hospital to talk to patients injured by James Holmes' massacre last Friday, in which 12 people lost their lives and 58 others were injured.

Bale traveled with his wife, Sibi Blazic and met with a number of emergency doctors, police officers and paramedics who were the first responders to the shooting at the Century 16 cinema theater in Aurora.
'It was good for the patients,' Voloch said about Bale, who spent around 10 minutes with each person. 'We hope it was therapeutic for them, and all the staff really appreciated him coming.'

WCG ASIA 2012

The WCG Asian Championship has long been one of the most awaited events for the Southeast Asia competitive gaming community since its inception back in 2007. After been held in Singapore (for four straight years) and Indonesia, the regional tournament will finally take place in Malaysia for the first time.

The event is scheduled to take place on 8 to 9 September 2012 alongside WCG 2012 Malaysia Championship at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

The banner has listed  :
Counter-Strike: Online (CS: O),
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO),
World of Tanks (WoT),
StarCraft 2
Dota 2

However, one of the biggest titles in WCG - EA Sports’ FIFA – somehow does not appear to be in the banner. Is this means that FIFA’12 will not be featured at WCG Malaysia 2012? If that is going to be the case, we are pretty sure there will be a lot of unhappy gamers around.

Alienware Game Victorious Battlegrounds

Alienware has recently announced a huge online game tournament called the Alienware Game Victorious Battlegrounds that will take place very soon at its own gaming portal, Alienware Arena. The tournament which is open to gamers in seven countries - Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, and Malaysia (of course) - are separated to five different games: Dota 2, Dragon Nest, FIFA Online 2, League of Legends and Team Fortress 2.

For Malaysia and Singapore gamers, they will be competing in the same arena and top eight teams from each games will be able to proceed to the tournament’s Malaysia-Singapore regional finals in which cash prizes of around RM 73,000 (USD 23,000) will be up for grabs. However, things will be a little bit challenging for Dota 2 though as the teams will have to go through a 32-teams playoff before they are able to proceed to the regional finals.

Bon Odori Festival

Obon (お盆?) or just Bon (?) is a Japanese Buddhist custom to honor the spirits of one's ancestors. This Buddhist-Confucian custom has evolved into a family reunion holiday during which people return to ancestral family places and visit and clean their ancestors' graves, and when the spirits of ancestors are supposed to revisit the household altars. It has been celebrated in Japan for more than 500 years and traditionally includes a dance, known as Bon-Odori.
The festival of Obon lasts for three days; however its starting date varies within different regions of Japan. When the lunar calendar was changed to the Gregorian calendar at the beginning of the Meiji era, the localities in Japan reacted differently and this resulted in three different times of Obon. "Shichigatsu Bon" (Bon in July) is based on the solar calendar and is celebrated around 15 July in eastern Japan (Kantō region such as Tokyo, Yokohama and the Tohoku region), coinciding with Chūgen. "Hachigatsu Bon" (Bon in August) is based on the lunar calendar, is celebrated around the 15th of August and is the most commonly celebrated time. "Kyu Bon" (Old Bon) is celebrated on the 15th day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar, and so differs each year. "Kyu Bon" is celebrated in areas like the northern part of the Kantō region, Chūgoku region, Shikoku, and the Ryukyu Islands

Yahoo pasword leaked

Earlier today friday the 13th, Yahoo Inc. admitted that a file which contained user names and password of around 450,000 user accounts has been leaked out into the Internet. Said to be an “old file” that originated from Yahoo! Contributor Network, these user accounts not only involved Yahoo domain but domains that belonged to other companies and organizations as well.

That being said, the company pointed out that less than 5-percent of the Yahoo accounts in the list actually had working password. The company have already working on to fix the security loophole as well as changing the passwords of the Yahoo users and alerted other companies might be involved in the security breach.

A security outfit called Sucuri Labs has obtained access to the file and came out with a useful tool to check if your email is part of the leak but judging from Sucuri’s analysis of the file, we suggest that you change your Yahoo password regardless of whether your email is involved or not.

UEFA Euro 2012

Spain saved their best until last at UEFA EURO 2012, a final-record 4-0 victory in Kyiv completing an unprecedented hat-trick of major tournament wins.

Against a flagging Italy side whose thrilling knockout campaign looked to have caught up with them, Spain were in control from the moment David Silva broke the deadlock with a rare header on 14 minutes. A barnstorming second with half-time approaching from the indefatigable Jordi Alba, his first international goal, left the Azzurri with a mountain to climb. The sight of Thiago Motta, their third substitute, being carried off on a stretcher ended all hope, leaving Italy to play out the last 28 minutes with ten men – and Spain replacements Fernando Torres and Juan Mata fully capitalised.

Carlsberg Man of the Match Award

Andrés Iniesta's mesmeric contribution to Spain's second successive UEFA European Championship win earned him the final Carlsberg Man of the Match award.

Adidas Golden Boots Award
Fernando Torres scored one and set up another in the closing stages of UEFA EURO 2012 to take the adidas Golden Boot award.

Torres finishes tied with five other players on three goals for the tournament, with he and Germany's Mario Gomez also on one assist apiece. The Spain striker, a second-half substitute in the 4-0 final win against Italy, takes the top-scorers' honour having played fewer minutes (189) at the finals than Gomez (282).
